History
La Source, since 1963!
The La Source Argentée motel was established in 1963. The first owners were Marie Lacroix and Albert Grenier.
Over the years, the hotel passed into the hands of various owners: Jacques Laurent (1964), Benoît Turcotte and Roger Tétrault (1967), Laurier Fecteau and André Lacasse (1972), Marcel St-Pierre replacing Laurier Fecteau (1974), and finally, Marcel St-Pierre became the sole owner (1975).
For a time, Michel St-Pierre joined his brother Marcel as a shareholder (from 1978 to 1991). It was the golden age of orchestras.
In 1994, three new shareholders partnered with Marcel: Roger Turgeon, Gérard Couture, and Richard Lemay. Finally, one year later, Roger bought out the shares of all his partners.
In January 2005, the establishment came under the ownership of Gervaise Richard and Bernard Mercier.
Already owners of the nearby O’Maryn restaurant, the new proprietors decided in 2007 to move all their operations under one roof. The name then became Resto-Bar La Source.
Complexe La Source offers: a nautical rental center with 17 watercraft, a 103-slip seasonal and visitor marina, a boat launch and gas station, a restaurant-bar with one of the most beautiful terraces in the region, events like nowhere else, and finally, a team of 55 employees in the summer and 25 in the winter, all working very hard to provide you with a unique experience whenever you visit us!
